April "Showers" at the RAC

It's April already and the weather is changing, but the activities at the RAC are not. So make sure you come out and participate. Play cards or dance or exercise or knit or quilt or play pool and shuffle board and Wii. There so much to do you just can't miss out.

Special events for April are an Easter Egg Hunt on Thur. April 5th, and the Senior Games April 7th - 14th. Make sure you sign up early and get time to practice! AARP will continue to provide Tax prep on Mondays and Thursdays from 10am - 2pm up through April 12th.

As always we have some fabulous trips planned this month. First trip on Tuesday April 3rd is our Mystery Lunch bus leaves at 11am and cost $3.00 plus cost of food. Then on April 11th we have a trip to the Azalea Festival in Muskogee, bus leaves at 8:30am cost is $8.00 for bus. Our gambling trip is on April 16th to Sugar Creek Casino, bus leaves at 1:30pm cost is $3.00 for bus. We have a trip to the Oklahoma City Arts Festival planned at 1:30pm on April 25th, cost is $3.00 for the bus. Finally there is the trip to Birding and Crystal Festival at Salt Plains. the cost is 8.00 for the bus ride.

Eater Outers will meet at 5pm on April 10 at the Rib Crib in Yukon.
Also the Birthday Dinner is on April 26th at 11:30am.

Green is the Color!!!

Make sure you Come out to the RAC on friday for St. Patricks Day Celebration.
We will be awarding the person with the most green on.
We will also be playing some fun St. patty's day games like Pin the Shamrock on the Leprechan.
Listening to Irish music and dancing a jig.
Most likely drinking some green beverages.

March Activities at the RAC

March is here and the RAC is moving and grooving. First off taxes are coming up soon so come in and get free AARP tax prep. They are here on Mondays and Thursdays from 10am - 2pm. Taste of Yukon also happens at the end of this month (March 29th, 5:30pm - 7:30pm) so get your tickets in advance. Adults are $10.00 in advance and $12.00 day of event. We are also offering Ballroom dance classes on Monday nights at 7:30pm. The session starts on March 5th and ends on March 26th cost is $60.00 per couple.
The trips for March start with a bus ride to Moore to visit Furr's and the Warren Theater on March 6th at 11:00am cost is $5.00 for bus. The next trip is a Mystery Lunch on March 15th bus leaves at 11:00 am and the cost is $4.00 for the bus ride. Then there is the trip to see the Shriner's Circus on March 23rd, buss leaves at 1.00pm and the cost is $4.00. Finally on March 27th get your gambling fingers out to Newcastle Casino. The bus ride cost $4.00 and will depart at 1pm.
Don't forget about Eater Outers on March 13th they will be meeting at Primo's at 5pm.
The Birthday Dinner is March 22nd.
Make sure to wear your green on March 16th. It's St. Patrick's Day we will have a party and you might get pinched if you do not partake!
